Born in Woodhaven, Michigan, Charity Cox spent her childhood on a front porch next to a radio soaking in the soulful voices of Aretha, Celine, Mariah, Michael Jackson, and of course Tom Petty. As she grew she was influenced by the softer, stylistic music of her parents: Linda Ronstadt, The Carpenters, and the Eagles. Later she discovered the passion of artists like Counting Crows, Jewel, Dolly Parton, and Martina McBride.

Music is in her blood. Her mother sang and encouraged her to do so as well. For years crippling anxiety kept her from singing publicly. It wasn’t until the passing of her mother in 2019, that something in her clicked. Life is short. God gave her a gift and she wasn’t going to let it die dormant. She was going to do everything she could to develop it and share it with others. She knew music had the power to break through a sometimes cold and hardened world and fear would no longer hold her back.

She currently has six originals recorded and available where all music is downloaded and streamed. Four were recorded in Nashville, April of 2022 with Judy Rodman and an amazing crew of musicians. When she's not writing, practicing, recording, or performing, you can find her spending time with her family and fur babies, or whipping up a batch of natural soap

She currently resides in Ocala, Florida, singing for The Villages Entertainment, performing as a regular at many restaurants, and private clubs all over central Florida, as well as, performing at weddings, private events and opening for acts like Shane Owens. She loves writing songs and can’t wait to get back in the studio soon.

I had an unforgettable trip to Nashville to record 4 originals.

All out now!

I had the honor of recording 4 originals in Nashville, Tn. with an amazing crew at Wes Little's Studio in April. I couldn't have asked for a better team working on this. Wes Little and Kenny Varga at the Console. Chris Leuzinger on electric guitar/band leader, Wes Little on drums, Duncan Mullins on bass, Wanda Vick on acoustic guitar, Jimmy Nichols on Keyboard, and Judy Rodman, my long-time vocal coach, produced and organized the whole project and sang background vocals on "More Hearts to Reach." What an amazing experience. All songs are out where you stream and download your music.
